In April-2021, two representatives of Vietnam River Network (VRN) in collaboration with Thang Long University hold a training program and a field trip to two provinces Gia Lai and Kon Tum for 70 Sophomore students and 5 teachers at the Mass Communication Department. The main aim of the training is to raise awareness and capacity of students about environmental and water resources issues.
During the presentation, VRN’s representatives at Kon Pring communal house, Kon Ploong district, Kon Tum province hold a lively discussion to further understand the relevant issues. There were up to 25 questions, which relate to the actual situation in Tay Nguyen, to specify knowledge provided at the training. Following the presentation is the field trip with the guidance of VRN’s presenter and Thang Long university’s teachers. The field trip helps students to learn more effectively by connecting theoretical and practical knowledge. The field trip also inspire young people to understand actual environmental and water resources issues in Tay Nguyen in sustainable development strategy at present and in the future.
